April Fools Dance

When: 8:30 pm
Where: Redlands Mesa Grange in Hotchkiss
What: The Redlands Mesa Grange is throwing a benefit dance to celebrate the re-opening of the Grange and to christen the new dance floor and stage. Come out on Saturday, April 1st for an April Fools dance with rhythm of the dons. Please bring a dessert or an appetizer to share. The dance starts at 8:30. The hall is located on Redlands Mesa west of Hotchkiss, at 2800 Redlands Mesa Rd. Proceeds benefit the Redlands Mesa Grange.

No Foolin’ Auction and Block Party

What: The eggs are dropping in Norwood at the 4th Annual No Foolin’ Auction and Block Party to benefit “Prime Time Child Care”. The party is being held Saturday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Norwood Community Center. Activities include an Egg drop contest, silent, live and baby chick auctions, food, and crafts. Concert - Western Slope Chamber Music Series

What: The final concert of the ’ seventh season will present a string quartet of young concert artists, featuring violinists Er-Gene Kahng and Reina Lopez, violist Momchil Monchev and cellist Gabe Mientka,. The concert will be presented on Saturday, April. 1, at 7:30 PM, at the Blue Sage Center in Paonia, and Sunday, April 2, at 4:00 PM, at the First United Methodist Church in Grand Junction. Tickets are available at Roper Music in Grand Junction; West’s Home Center in Paonia; Hardin’s Natural Foods in Hotchkiss; Manna Natural Foods in Cedaredge; Bill’s Music in Delta; and Simpson Gallery in Montrose. Tickets will also be available at the door.


Contra Dance

Where: Masonic Lodge in Glenwood Springs
What: You can kick up your heels at the monthly community contra dance at the Masonic Lodge in Glenwood Springs Saturday, April 1! Dances begin at 7:30 pm and include circles, contras, squares, waltzes and other couples dances and all are taught by a caller and danced to live music. CPR for the Professional Rescuer
