Exciting and Fun Nuno Felting Workshop with Instructor, Lucy Boody to be Offered in Ridgway in Early February!
Join Weehawken Creative Arts and learn a new and truly amazing technique for making a beautiful, wearable piece of art in “Nuno Felting!” Nuno Felting is a Japanese form of wet felting that incorporates fabric into the process. A loosely woven natural fabric is melded together using wool roving, soap, water and pressure. The result is quiet impressive!
In this tactile workshop, students will use a variety of textural fibers and colorful yarns with the Nuno felting technique to produce a soft, flowing scarf that is warm and wonderful for winter. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and get your hands wet in this fun “hands-on” workshop. Nuno Felting will be taught and led by instructor, Lucy Boody. Lucy has been a mixed-media artist for many years. Her first artistic passion developed with sewing. When asked about this workshop, Boody noted, “Becoming involved with fibers again makes me feel like I’ve come home again. Texture, shape, design, technique and color seem to make my world go round. To share my knowledge with others is truly a joy.”
