Intro to Pottery for Adults, Ridgway

Adults are sure to enjoy "Intro to Pottery for Adults" on consecutive Fridays, May 4th and May 11th at the All Fired Up! Clay Center in Ridgway. This workshop is offered with instructor, Deidra Krois of Ridgway from 6 pm until 8 pm each week. This class is an introduction to the medium of clay. Deidra will cover the history of functional and decorative pottery, the language and tools of ceramic arts, basic hand building techniques, texturing, low fire glazing, and an introduction to the potter's wheel. Each student will finish the class with at least one glazed slab form, pinch pot, coil pot and perhaps one form thrown on the wheel. The price for this two-night workshop is $75 for Weehawken Members and $78 for Non-Members. Pre-registration is required through Weehawken Creative Arts.
