Advisory Board

CAB is an acronym for Community Advisory Board.

The existence of the CAB is mandated by the Federal Communications Act.  Public stations are not eligible for funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting unless they establish a Community Advisory Board.

The CAB is a direct arm of the KVNF Board of Directors and serves as a review and comment body for the BOD.

It is the legal mission of CAB to review and comment on the programming goals established, the service provided and the significant policy decisions made by the station.

The perspective required of the CAB is whether the programming,

service and policies are meeting the particular educational and

cultural needs of the many communities served by KVNF.

Our CAB has 8 members who truly represent the geographical distance and diversity of our 10,000 square mile listening area.
