Our very own Julia Kumari Drapkin (we'll always call her "ours") will be presenting the iSeeChange project she developed in the North Fork Valley to various media interest groups across the country in the weeks to come.
For the past 20 years, Brent Helleckson and his family have been building a wine business on Garvin Mesa. They’ve constructed a home, a wine cellar a tasting room, and added to the vineyard. In those two decades, they also became a part of the North Fork community. When the Bureau of Land Management proposed 30,000 acres of leases for gas development in the North Fork Valley, Helleckson felt the threat to his winery as well as all agriculture and tourism-based industries.

Cedaredge's Reid Gates cleared 6 feet, 8 inches, to claim the meet high jump record, and sailed 21 feet, 9 and a quarter inches to reset the record in the long jump. Teammate Austin Williams fell short of a meet record in the shot put, but jumped to the top of the 3A state rankings in the event with a winning throw of 51 feet, 2 inches.
