Ritual and Remembrance : Carrying Our Grief in Community
Ritual and Remembrance : Carrying Our Grief in Community
An evening of Ritual and Remembrance. Honoring loved ones who have died and honoring ourselves who here remain. Acknowledging with care and attention the grief each of us is carrying, whether it be fresh grief or the enduring grief of profound loss. In a supportive container and in the shared space of community, we will use ritual to express appreciation for the embodiment of our departed, have the opportunity to pour the water of forgiveness, to acknowledge any regret. In a simple writing exercise we will celebrate the uniqueness of our loved one and shine a light on the person our loved one evoked in us. This event is free and open to the community. Facilitator Meg O'Shaughnessy has been volunteering in hospice settings since 2011 and can be contacted at oshaughnessymeg@gmail.com or 970 270 6349.
