Enos T. Hotchkiss arrived in the North Fork Valley in 1881, and started homesteading along with the town’s other founders. The first structure Hotchkiss built—even before completing his house—was a big, brick barn.Two years ago, the century-old barn was damaged by an unusually fierce storm. KVNF’s Ariana Brocious reports on efforts by a few local residents to put the historic structure back together.
