Abraham Lincoln's visionary leadership was "for the people."
Throughout my life I have been fascinated with group structuring and leadership. Steven Speilberg's most recent film, "Lincoln," gave me an opportunity to see Lincoln's gifted leadership through new eyes. Lincoln envisioned a government "of the people, by the people, and for the people." I realized Lincoln took the directive to govern "for the people" to create a radically different kind of leadership. He became a visionary leader, serving a vision of a world beyond slavery. Now, at another transitional time, what direction will we take, what "ship" will we board - one fueled by fear and greed, or one powered by love and collaboration?
