Kate Redmond tracks down the details. Delta County redraws its district maps every ten years according to population changes as reflected in the Census. Even though the county has seen plenty of real estate changing hands the past decade, overall population numbers have not changed that much. Plus, scientists say climate change created perfect conditions for last week’s wildfire in Boulder County.

Plus, Asia Jami was diagnosed with ALS six years ago, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Asia is now in a wheelchair. But last month, she skied down Snowmass Ski Area with Challenge Aspen, which provides outdoor experiences to people with disabilities.   • Sharing Ministries Food Bank serves five counties on the Western Slope. Since the start of the pandemic last year, the food bank based in Montrose has seen a 32 percent increase in new client visits. The new facility, opening later this month, offers six fully furnished units of supportive housing for young people who are aging out of foster care.
