  • the Delta County Sheriff's Office is advising the community about a phone scam in the area. They say citizens are receiving calls from someone pretending to be a Deputy or Sergeant stating they missed a jury summons and have a warrant for their arrest. Citizens are then told to come to the Sheriff's Office with a card to pay to squash the warrant.
  • Colorado State Representative Hugh McKean, the leader of the Republican caucus, died of an apparent heart attack over the weekend. Republicans will select a new leader on Nov. 10, following the midterm election. Four school districts in Colorado are getting almost three million dollars from the federal government for electric school buses.
