NPR Music publishes a popular feature each month called Heavy Rotation, which collects 10 songs that public radio hosts across the country can't stop playing. We decided to do the series one better during our year-end festivities and create a 24/7 stream made up of the songs public radio stations couldn't stop playing.

This special Heavy Rotation mix features the most popular songs from an assortment of our favorite U.S. public radio stations. In other words, only the hits (relatively speaking).

Our stream was curated entirely by the following NPR members:

  • World Cafe (Philadelphia)
  • The Bridge (Kansas City)
  • The Current (Twin Cities)
  • The Exit (Albany)
  • FolkAlley.com (Kent, Ohio)
  • Iowa Public Radio's Studio One
  • KCRW (Santa Monica)
  • KEXP (Seattle)
  • KUNC (Northern Colorado)
  • KUTX (Austin)
  • opbmusic (Portland, Oregon)
  • Colorado Public Radio's OpenAir
  • WFPK (Louisville)
  • WFUV (New York City)
  • WNCW (North Carolina)
  • WYEP (Pittsburgh)
