Oil Springs Fire Burned 1 Mile from Gas Facility

The 12-thousand-plus acre Oil Springs Fire south of Rangely is now contained. But previously, exceptional drought conditions and heavy winds fueled extreme fire behavior that forced emergency evacuations, power shut offs, road closures, and threatened a large natural gas processing facility.
