Our physical inheritance offers clues about our ancestors.
From an early age, I understood that the two sides of my family had very different values. The two rocking chairs I inherited, one from each side of the family, perfectly reflect each family's values, strengths, and foibles. These chairs supported my ancestors; now they are shaping me.
