What do I want to be famous (or infamous) for?
Waiting for flight, I watched a young father flipping his four-year-old upside down. "I want to be famous!" yelled the boy. "Famous for what?" asked the Dad. I reflected on why someone would want to be famous. Usually money and privilege accompany fame. Freud confided he preferred working with wealthy clients because they knew money would not solve their problems. The rising stars often tarnish over time. Fame for fame's sake has no ground of being. Fame, at its best, is a collateral benefit that arises from doing what I love.
