Learn from local qarden expert Lance how to create on farm fertility by building exceptional compost. In this hands-on learning experience, Lance will teach us how to create a nutrient rich, productive compost pile with local manure, straw, kitchen scraps & more.

Lance Swigart grows go percent of his food and harvests 100 percent of his seeds from a garden located above 6,000 feet elevation outside Hotchkiss. He has been building his incredibly beautiful garden space for the last 35 years and is a wealth of information about all kinds of gardening, from grains to beans to fruits and vegetables, even nuts. He is also the host of KVNF's local Radio Show "As the Worm Turns" now on Wednesday's at 6pm!
