M. John Fayhee, former Mountain Gazette editor, will be reading from his new book, A LONG TANGENT: Musings by an old man and his young dog hiking every day for a year. Fayhee will be introduced by Betsy Marston and then will read from his book. Fayhee writes with a dry wit about mortality, dogs, gentrification, getting lost and getting found, and his dog. Join us--we'll be serving Clear Fork Cider

Expect a soul-drenched kick-ass ride through The Heart of Harmony with Jan Garrett & JD Martin, multi-award-winning Colorado singer songwriters. Deeply moving, universally uplifting, fiery and funny, their original music is described as “Rich and intelligent….a velvet-hammer wake-up call as refreshing and satisfying to the soul as it is to the ear….well-being made audible….songs and performances that dive fearlessly into all of the light and all of the shadow.”
Jan & JD are all about generosity of the heart. Their in-person appeal comes from rich vocal harmonies, lyrical depth, and an easy stage presence. Their artfully written and produced piano-based songs wind effortlessly through gospel, jazz, folk, and country styles. And always, through it all….those gorgeous voices.
While touring the country for the past 27 years, Jan & JD have written and produced 9 albums of award-winning original songs, available on their website:
www.Garrett-Martin.com
Several of their songs have been arranged by Cypress Coral publishing out of Vancouver, and are now being sung by choirs all over the world.
A fine musician in her own right, Virginia-based singer Blair Jones will be joining them on harmony vocals for this concert. Show up and look forward to a feast of musical endorphins!
