As supply and demand pressures increase the stress on water supplies in the West, the Division of Water Resources continues to perform its primary mission of administering the public’s water resource in Colorado.Accomplishing that mission—in an increasingly complex system stressed by the region’s worst multi-decade drought in 1,200 years, increasing population, and societies’ changing values around water—is Deputy State Engineer Jason Ullmann’s job. Presenting for the CMU Montrose Lecture Series, Ullmann will explain the process of managing water in Colorado and provide an update on projected water supplies for the coming year.
