Midsummer Plant Allies

Midsummer Plant Allies

Midsummer Plant Allies
with Alicia Michelsen, Emily Hartnett & Matt Springer

Wednesday July 17th
5:30pm at Grey Owl Garden
39695 Pitkin Rd, Paonia CO

Learn about our midsummer herbal plant allies and how they can nourish us throughout the year. We will explore our relationship with motherwort, comfrey, St. Joan's wort, calendula, oats, red clover, nettle, dandelion, and more. We will learn how to make tinctures, infused herbal vinegars & oils, nourishing herbal infusions, dry herbs and create herbal medicines to embrace the nourishing plants of the summer sun that will warm us through the winter.

Alicia has been teaching herbalism and working with local plants and home remedies for over 25 years. She cultivates medicinal herbs at her gardens in Crawford and Paonia.

Emily has been working with plants, herbs and livestock for over 20 years in Paonia at her farm Goats Gone Wild.

Matt is the farmer at Grey Owl Garden and has been growing medicinal herbs and making plant medicine for over 20 years in Alaska and Paonia.
