Visit the Delta Library to view art by Heidl Hasenauer. Hasenauer is a Colorado based artist who was technically trained in 3D sculptural arts. Her desire to create quickly and with little to no plan led her away from long-drawn out techniques and toward fast drying acrylic paint. The focus of this series is based on understanding the effects of experience and phenomena on the human psyche. This art exhibit will be on display at the Delta Library until July 27. What secrets does your garden hold? In this Natural Dye Demonstration, Fiber Artist Kate Linehan will take us through learning about the process of fixing the color to the fiber, called "mordanting." With a basic understanding of this step, she will demonstrate how to achieve a range of colors on different fibers using local plants to create dye and will share other dye techniques that she has explored.
