KVNF News

We are very proud of the growth of our local news reporting here at KVNF in the last few years. Besides a daily local newscast, KVNF also offers sports reporting, environmental stories and in-depth coverage of issues affecting our listening community.

Ali Lightfoot

KVNF Program Director

As host and producer of KVNF's weekly public affairs program, "Local Motion," Ali strives to go deeper into local issues and hear from the people who are most affected, not necessarily the "experts." In recent months, she's profiled several area non-profits, including Hilltop Tri-County Resources and CASA-Voices for Children. Local Motion has also featured stories and community views on the proposed oil and gas leases in the North Fork, local agriculture, school budget cuts and curriculum changes, and seen the debut of the new "KVNF Literary Review." Ali also produces KVNF's call-in show "Bringin' it Home" with host Sally Kane, KVNF's Executive Director. E-mail: ali (at) kvnf.org
