Visit the Delta Library to view art by Heidl Hasenauer. Hasenauer is a Colorado based artist who was technically trained in 3D sculptural arts. Her desire to create quickly and with little to no plan led her away from long-drawn out techniques and toward fast drying acrylic paint. The focus of this series is based on understanding the effects of experience and phenomena on the human psyche. This art exhibit will be on display at the Delta Library until July 27. In 2012, Jared Campbell decided to run up and down Salt Lake City’s Grandeur Peak for 24 hours, to raise money for air-quality advocacy work. The following year, a few friends joined in. The next year: even more. After 11 years, Campbell’s solo project has morphed into Running Up For Air (RUFA): a worldwide movement with dozens of races, hundreds of runners and tens of thousands of dollars raised around the globe. This is a story about how running builds community that can jumpstart change far beyond the trails.
Join us at Patagonia Telluride on May 9th at 4pm for a screening of Running Up For Air.
There will be a repair workshop/happy hour from 4-5pm with the film screening at 5pm. Food will be prepared by The National Telluride featuring Patagonia Provisions!Want to get involved with RUFA? Head to Strava to learn about the Running Up For Air: Clean Air Vert Challenge—a virtual event that harnesses a global running community in support of organizations working to improve air quality.
