Presented by The Learning Council, CD CARES, and the Paradise TheatreFilm Spotlight: Moonlight
Join us for a powerful evening of cinema with Moonlight, the groundbreaking film that redefined storytelling in American film. Presented by The Learning Council, CD CARES, and the Paradise Theatre, this Academy Award–winning drama explores identity, masculinity, and love through the life of Chiron, a young Black man navigating a rough Miami neighborhood.
Told in three poignant chapters, Moonlight is a tender, visually stunning meditation on what it means to grow up, to be vulnerable, and to seek connection in a world that often demands the opposite. With unforgettable performances and poetic cinematography, the film offers a rare and deeply human portrait of a life shaped by silence, struggle, and moments of grace.
Come experience this intimate and unforgettable story on the big screen—together, in community.
