President Obama to Speak on Syrian Conflict Tonight

President Obama will address the nation tonight at 7 pm MST on the conflict in Syria. The President is expected to again call for military intervention in Syria after the alleged use of chemical weapons by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Obama is also expected to speak on new developments in the conflict, including news that the Syrian regime would be willing to give up its stockpile of chemical weapons to the international community, an idea first proposed by Secretary of State John Kerry and later echoed by Syria's closest ally, Russia.

KVNF will be airing NPR's special coverage of the address from 7 - 8 pm this evening (Tuesday, September 10.) The speech can  also be seen on most major TV networks and streamed at thewhitehouse.gov.

NPR will also be live-blogging the event at The Two-Way.
