Sue Westervelt
Sue is a Coloradoan native who spent far too long on the Front Range. Discovering the magnificent Western Slope in 1991, it became instantly clear to Sue, that she had found home.
Sue served in the Navy at the tail end of the Viet Nam era. Shortly after the Navy, Sue became a member of the carpenter's union in San Diego. A few years later became a computer programmer. Still trying to figure out what Sue wanted to be when she grew up, she became a service tech for Sears. Retired now, Sue's final job was her handywoman's business called "Honey-Do-Sue's".
Somewhere in the middle of it all, Sue approached the Columbia School of Broadcasting with a sincere desire to become a DJ. That didn't pan out at that point in her life although the desire to DJ stayed strong.
Rasied on folk music, Sue's life has been a mesh of folk, rock, blues and country music.
Sue is honored and thrilled to be a new member of the amazing KVNF family as of 2019 and looks forward to many years of sharing music with our awesome community.
