Growing Home - Sunscreen and Bug Repellent

It’s the time of year for both sun, ticks and mosquitoes, which means it is also time to get out the sunscreen and bug repellent. That begs the question, which should you apply on your skin first? According to the Center for Disease Control, you should apply sunscreen first and then insect repellent. It is also recommended that the sunscreen be applied about 15 to 20 minutes after your sunscreen. They also say applying an insect repellent after sunscreen can reduce the effectiveness of the sunscreen by up to 34%.
