Growing Home - Cilantro and Coriander

Cilantro and coriander come from the same plant: Coriandrum sativum. The leaves, known as cilantro, are used fresh, while the seeds, called coriander, are dried and ground. In Colorado's climate, cilantro flowers quickly ending its harvest. Plan to reseed it multiple times during the summer for a constant supply. The cilantro root has more flavor than the leaves, stems and seeds. Grind the root up to make Thai curry pastes. Culantro is an alternative to cilantro that has a similar flavor but doesn’t go to seed.
