Weehawken Dance will fall down the rabbit hole for their Winter/Spring production of ALICE IN WONDERLAND May 10-12 at the Montrose Pavilion. Based on Lewis Carroll’s "Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland" and with characters from “Through the Looking-Glass,” the ballet includes choreography and music selections by Weehawken Dance instructors in coordination with longtime Artistic Director for the program, Natasha Pyeatte. Weehawken promises that "This isn’t your typical, classical storybook children’s ballet. Our Spring production offers a charming theatrical extravaganza with colorful costumes, whimsical sets and a wide variety of dance styles. Come watch the adventures of this beloved heroine in a strange land filled with eccentric characters including the frantic White Rabbit, mysterious Cheshire Cat, peculiar Mad Hatter, terrifying Jabberwock and the wicked Queen of Hearts” said Artistic Director, Natasha Pyeatte. “This tale is wonderfully fun, and was last produced by Weehawken Dance in the spring of 2019. The program has grown considerably since then, and what was produced back then as a one-night performance is now set to be four performances with a split cast of over 300 area youth," said Executive Director, Ashley King. "The sets, costumes and music will amaze everyone in the audience. Some of the dancers’ feet literally never touch the ground! Its a dance show that you will not want to miss.”
