High Schools Gear Up For Football Finals

Amid the cold and the snow, Colorado high schools are finishing their football season.  State finals are right around the corner for all divisions, and months and years of work are coming down to single games.

In division 1A, the Paonia Eagles beat Resurrection Christian High School out of Loveland to advance to the state finals.

They’ll be the defending champions, and will face the same team they saw last year at the semifinals, Buena Vista.  That’ll be this Saturday in Paonia.

The Montrose Indians had a tough loss this past weekend in the 4A quarter-finals.  Broomfield High School eeked out a 24-20 win late in the game.  Montrose finishes the season with a 10 and 2 record.
