Program Changes at KVNF

Starting Monday, Oct. 25th, KVNF has a new program lineup.  Our statewide news program from KUNC, Colorado Edition, is now on the air 5 days/week at 6:30 pm, moving from the 3:30 pm Tue-Fri slot. It's now airing on the same day that it's produced at KUNC.

As a result, our midday music shows are going back to their 3-hour length, from 10 am - 1 pm and 1 pm - 4 pm, Monday-Friday.

We're adding a new show to the lineup, again with a Colorado focus - Colorado Inside Out, from PBS12 in Denver, airs at 6:00 pm Monday.

As the Worm Turns, live call-in gardening advice with Jill, Lance & Lulu, moves up to 6:00 pm Tuesday.

Local Motion has shifted to Wednesday at 6:00 pm

Talkin' Music (or sometimes NPR's All Songs Considered) will play Thursday at 6:00pm.

Friday at 6:00 pm will be a 1/2 hr. version of KVNF's Wild Card, with a selection of documentary/public affairs/spoken word/audio art pieces.

On Sundays, we're adding a new local music show, Lassez Faire,  from 2:00-4:00 pm. Stop Time will shrink a bit,  2 hrs instead of 3, from noon-2:00 pm. At 4 pm, a new music program from Native Voice 1, Gaënö’, that focuses on the various genres of contemporary music created by talented artists from the numerous Indigenous Nations of Turtle Island.

Thanks for tuning in to Mountain Grown Community Radio, KVNF!

A native Texan, Jeff was bitten by the Colorado "bug" after graduating from UT-Austin. He arrived in Paonia on the October full moon of 1978, and has been involved with KVNF since its earliest days. His first KVNF show was "Sunday Night Live," which featured live musicians performing in the original Garvin Mesa garage/studio.
