Sarah Whites-Koditschek is a Little Rock-based reporter for Arkansas Public Media covering education, healthcare, state politics, and criminal justice issues. Formerly she worked as a reporter and producer for WHYY in Philadelphia, and was an intern and editorial assistant for Morning Edition at National Public Radio in Los Angeles and Washington D.C.

I ventured to Fort Collins CO after being raised in Pueblo CO. I hosted a show at a college radio where I first attempted to sculpt my radio personality. This is where I cut my teeth on the reality of the country music genre. After college my wife and I moved to Cedaredge which is where we now call home.

DJing since the 1960s, Jimmy has proselytized rock, jazz, classical, Grateful Dead shows (he was the "Dear Abby to the Deadheads" in one of the Grateful Dead magazines back in the day), and even movies and their soundtracks. These days you can hear him at the controls bantering about classic and obscure music of the 60s generation, it's culture and times, with cohorts Thomas Smith and Rick Stockton.

I started out doing radio in Portland Oregon at KBOO. I was part of a radio sketch comedy show called Queersville that we produced every week. Later I moved to Crestone Colorado and became a DJ at KRZA. I did a three hour music mix that was kind of like Crossroads is now. I moved to Crawford in 2008 and started DJing at KVNF and worked there as the volunteer coordinator for a year or two. I love all music and love being part of community radio, especially KVNF.

Just Us host, Gayle, believes in Aunt Molly Jackson’s definition of folk music, “Folk music is the music of the people in their really lives.” With that in mind, she says all music is folk music. The Just Us show is focused on acoustic and singer/songwriter music of the past and the present, songs that tell stories or that strengthen our sense of community. She hopes listeners can sing along with at least one song every week because they know all the words.
