It's expecting to host 38 rodeos in the dirt arena near downtown Jackson, on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights through early September. Nearly every rodeo last year sold out. According to reporting in the Montrose Daily Press, event Coordinator Evelyn Greenman-Baird estimated that nearly 900 members of the community came out for the event, as well as 54 business, nonprofit, creative and religious vendors. She noted that the first few months of the Trump presidency has members of the LGBTQ community feeling anxious. However, she added that “Existence is resistance.” KVNF will have more on the pride event next week.

The deficit is partially due to repairs on trash trucks. Wynn also noted that tipping fees went up from $5 to $15 per additional ton. More on this story can be found at deltacountyindependent.com
