SHOOTING IN DELTA : A shooting in Delta on Sunday morning prompted a shelter-in-place order and a large law enforcement response. The incident began around 9:40 a.m. near G96 Lane, where police urged residents to stay inside and lock their doors. Two people were shot and transported to Delta Health. The hospital went into temporary lockdown, and a stretch of Highway 50 was also closed.

Police later confirmed the suspect had barricaded inside a home in the 1500 block of G96 Lane. Officers surrounded the house and worked to take the individual into custody.
