Alley Cropping Workshop with Elizabeth Agee
Agroforestry is the practice of intentionally integrating trees and shrubs into crop and animal farming systems to create ecological, economic, and social benefits, which have several subcategories. Alley cropping is the intentional interplanting of secondary crops into a perennial system such as an orchard or timber lot to obtain multiple yields. We will meet at 122 Grand Avenue for a presentation followed by a walking tour of the working system.
