Beavers on Farms Tour
We will begin with a presentation by Jake Hartter from Western Slope Conservation Center at 122 Grand Avenue, followed by a tour of two working farms that have developed strategies to work in partnership with beavers to improve late-season water outcomes. Both farms have installed low-tech solutions that mitigate damage imposed on culverts and irrigation systems and also benefit from water from beaver ponds that are available after irrigation rights are exhausted for the season.
