Join us in a workshop that builds on the Civics Today: Tools of Engagement workshop. In Civics Today, we learned about how the federal constitution is set up to protect people from the abuse of government power. In this workshop we will explore what to do when government power is wielded to sow fear, silence community voices, and wipe-out democratic decision-making. When decades of social and environmental progress to create a more perfect union are being openly dismantled... we band together.

What We Will Look At:
What non-democratic policies and actions look like across government and civil society
Paying attention to signals
Actions to protect, reclaim, and shore up the pillars of our democracy
Strategic Noncooperation, the difference between protest and noncompliance
Strengthening local social and environmental movements
This workshop is a gift to the community from CHC and The Learning Council.
