Help Shape Paonia’s Accessibility Future: Two ADA Surveys Now Open

The Town of Paonia is inviting the community to take part in two important surveys that will help improve accessibility and inclusion throughout the town. As part of Paonia’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan, your input will guide how we identify and remove barriers in public spaces, streets, and services.

These surveys are a vital step in ensuring ADA compliance and building a more accessible, inclusive, and equitable community. Every response helps shape how Paonia prioritizes improvements to make our town safer and more welcoming for all residents and visitors.

A. Public Outreach Survey

The Town of Paonia is working to meet the goals of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and your input matters!

Take the Public Outreach Survey and help identify how the Town can make services, spaces, and communication more accessible for everyone.

Paonia is committed to making our sidewalks and public spaces accessible under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Town needs your help.

Take the Public Right-of-Way Needs Assessment Survey and share your experiences with sidewalks, ramps, and crossings. Your feedback will guide where improvements are needed most.

Are you looking for a way to give back in the community? The Abraham Connection Homeless Shelter in Delta opens for the season on November 1st. We are in need of volunteers to prepare and serve meals at the shelter. If you are interested in serving this season, please contact the shelter at 970-773-8290

Come join us for a free Thanksgiving dinner, some live music, and celebrate with a hearty meal together with many welcoming people. We will be providing and serving free Thanksgiving meals to our community on Thursday, November 27th, from 12 noon to 3:00 pm at the Montrose County Fairgrounds Friendship Hall. Everyone is welcome and donations are very much appreciated but not required. If you cannot attend in person, we can deliver meals to you! Please go to our website at montrosecommunitydinners.com to sign up to volunteer, to donate, or to schedule meals to be delivered to your home. You can also call us at 970-318-6724 for English or 970-318-6759 for Spanish to get yourself signed up.

This Thanksgiving, we’re bringing the community together — one pie at a time.
Thanksgiving Day, Thursday Nov 27 | 2–6pm
The Lab, Cedaredge

Here’s how it works:
Local kids (of all ages!) can pick up an Apple Pie Kit from The Lab starting Tuesday, Nov 18. Each kit includes one crust, up to 10 apples, and a name card to label your creation.

Bake your pie at home and bring it back, fully cooked, by Thanksgiving Day.

Then — join us on Thanksgiving from 2-6pm for a FREE community celebration filled with apple pie, hot cider, laughter, and a recycled-art ornament-making station!

Come for the pie, stay for the community.
