Writers on the Range
Several farms in the North Fork Valley offer pick your produce and fruit options. Sometimes, the attraction is visiting the farm itself, like at the Bradley Farm Stand in Paonia, CO.

This week Gavin Dahl speaks with Colorado Sun reporter Margaret Fleming about the impacts of high prices on Colorado wheat farmers and Montrose Press reporter Anna Lynn Winfrey on how inflation is impacting the Sharing Ministries Food Bank. Plus, Dave Marston from Writers on the Range shares the commentary “Want to Farm? Get a Cash Register.”

Gavin Dahl is a writer and producer with a passion for community media. He worked for KVNF from July 2020 to July 2022. He won awards and recognition for his KVNF reporting from the Colorado Broadcasters Association and Society of Professional Journalists. His writing has been published by The Montrose Press, The Sopris Sun, Boulder Weekly, Raw Story, Radio Survivor, Boise Weekly, and The Austin American-Statesman. He graduated from The Evergreen State College with a BA in media production and community organizing.
