Ellen Sander, author of Trips, Rock Life in the Sixties stopped by KVNF during her Colorado book tour. Ellen talked with Kori Stanton about her augmented edition of Trips, poetry, Jimi Hendrix and what it was like being a rock journalist in the midst of rock and roll.

Clifton Hanger is a rock and roll jam band that is based out of the North Fork Valley. The band members stopped by KVNF to talk with DJ Lawrence Hancock about their music and performed a few original songs. Keep an eye out for these guys and catch them live this summer! Local singer-songwriter, Gabrielle Louise is recording a new album with her band and stopped by KVNF to chat with Kori Stanton. They talked about the evolution of her music, Joni Mitchell and her upcoming birthday concert on May 18th at the Paradise Theatre in Paonia. Gabrielle also provided KVNF listeners with an exclusive sneak peak of a few tracks off of her upcoming album.

Singer, songwriter and Master River guide Jenner Fox stopped by KVNF to play a few songs off of his new album called 'Buffalo'. Jenner talked with KVNF's Kori Stanton before his show at Remedy in Paonia. Jenner talked about house concerts, how he recently signed a record deal and how his music is greatly inspired by his time meeting people as a river guide.

Once a year the Valley Youth Orchestra throws a dinner concert and this year's concert "Tapestry of America" included four original pieces. Two of the pieces were composed and performed by youth musicians Anwen Borgo and Conner Hogan. The third original piece "Inner Spirit" was composed and conducted by mentor Justin G. Russell Jr.  North Fork Valley percussionist and composer David Alderdice also composed and performed his original piece "Days 4 & 5" with the Combined Orchestra.

3hattrio (three hat trio) plays American Desert Music. Their aim is to create a new music which responds to the natural world of their sacred homeland near Zion National Park in southern Utah.
