Paonia Trustees are considering three finalists for town administrator, reports the Delta County Independent. The three applicants are Guy Patterson, Evan Bolt and Melissa Fields-Allgeyer. Delta Health received its first sales tax payment in the amount of $318,000, The money was tallied nearly four months after voters approved the hospital’s 0.8% sales tax initiative. The City of Montrose saw increases in tax collections across the board during the third quarter of 2022.

The city of Durango will pay just over $3,000 to settle a lawsuit that accused the city of failing to properly notice an executive session and improperly denying an open records request, reports the Durango Herald. he City of Delta entertained the possibility of allowing retail marijuana in the town during a recent city council work session, reports the Delta County Independent. Four states along the Colorado River are getting closer to finalizing details of a program to pay water users to conserve.
  • A number of questions have been raised concerning the closure of a homeless encampment west of Delta last month. Lisa Young recently spoke with Delta City Manager Elyse Casselberry via phone about the city’s ongoing efforts to provide services to Delta’s Unhoused population. The Town of Paonia will host a meet and greet for the three town administrator finalists on Dec. 12 reports the Delta County Independent. The meeting open to the public will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. at Paonia Town Hall. The three finalists for town administrator are Guy Patterson, Evan Bolt and Melissa Fields-Allgeyer.

Montrose City Council voted unanimously to place two historic structures on the city’s Register of Historic Places. Proposition 122 was one of the ballot measures approved by voters this year. It decriminalizes the psychedelic substance psilocybin for personal use and mental health treatment. But as KUNC’s Lucas Brady Woods reports, Coloradans won’t see clinics offering psychedelics quite yet.
