Local Motion: The State Of The Hemp Industry

The gold rush is over and there are many questions about the state of the hemp industry in Colorado.

KVNF's Kori Stanton talks with Brian Kootz, Industrial Hemp Program Manager and Leif Jacobson, Program Administrator for the Inspection and Consumer Division  from the Colorado Department of Agriculture. KVNF also spoke with local hemp farmers, Jon and Candice Orlando from Rock 'n Roots Farm in Paonia, Steve Ziemer from Immunity Farms in Lazear, CO, and to Jona Williams, CEO and Co-Founder of Blue Dog Hemp in Montrose, CO.

Kori Stanton is an award-winning film and radio producer, photographer, lavender farmer, and lover of music discovery. As the daughter of KVNF's founder, Kori has a deep understanding and passion for community radio. Kori produces the weekly podcast 'Rain & Shine' as well as hosts and produces 'Crisis to Comeback.' When she's not producing or farming you can find her DJing as Koko Love.
