Delta Pride

Pride in October was alive and well over the weekend with expanded celebration events in Hotchkiss, Colorado taking place Friday and Saturday night at Heritage Hall. The big Pride Day took place on Sunday afternoon at Cleland Park in Delta, Colorado with dozens of booths, an Arabic food truck, and of course entertaining drag performances.

KVNF's Regional Newscast for September 29, 2022 featured news from the town of Paonia and two special reports including K-U-N-C’s Scott Franz at the capitol and KUNC’s Alex Hager on the ongoing crisis along the Colorado River. Today's feature story highlighted the first annual Delta Pride celebration over the weekend.

The first annual Delta Pride celebration held at Cleland Park was filled with anticipation, excitement and raw emotions. The one day event billed “Unapologetically relevant” began with a recognition of the Ute Land, a Pride March, drag performances and a Mexican food truck.
