Looking to stretch your creative muscles? Just want some free funny on a Wednesday night? You’re in luck! The Sherbino is launching a brand-new program: Sherbino Writers Room: Sketch Comedy!
Led by long-time Sherbino Night Live writer and local comedic comrade Lexi Trachy, this drop-in writing group welcomes anyone interested in writing (or just laughing through) sketch comedy. Whether you’re a seasoned joke-slinger or just sketch-curious, no experience is necessary; everyone is welcome!
Meetings will take place twice a month on Wednesdays, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
What to expect from a Writers Room session:
Table reads of group work Group idea sharing and editingBrainstorming games and inspiration exercisesCollaborative idea-sharingLaughs (hopefully)What’s the end goal? That’s up to the group! Maybe it’s reviving Sherbino Night Live. Maybe it’s developing a shared curriculum for “real learning” and honing the craft. Or perhaps it’s just creating hilarious sketches for fun.
June meetings will help set the tone, so jump in early to help shape what comes next.

These meetings are an invitation to come home to ourselves and each moment. Thursday Mornings 9-10 am @ Paonia Senior Center located at 106 3rd St in Paonia. All are welcome to participate in these inclusive, non-denominational weekly circles. Please bring water & whatever will support sitting comfortably, chairs provided.

It’s the Official Folk Dance of the State of Colorado!The next session of “Beginning Square Dance” will start on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Delta First Baptist Church Gymnasium, 1250 Pioneer Rd., in Delta.No experience necessary! No Dance Partner required! No special outfit needed! Square dancing is fun, and offers good physical exercise, friendship, and stress relief! It’s a great Family activity! No age requirement or age limit! As we say, “Square Dancing is Friendship Set to Music!
Hurry and attend soon! This class will be open to new dancers on Thursdays, May 29, June 5 and 12, only. The fee is just $5 per lesson, per person, or save money with an investment of $60 for 15 lessons!
