Montrose Regional Airport

  • Montrose Regional Airport continues to have a positive impact on our regional economy, reports the Montrose Daily Press. According to a recent Colorado Department of Aviation Division of Aeronautics, the rural airport generated $713 million dollars of the $68.9 billion in aviation business revenue for the state
  • Delta County School board members passed a resolution opposing Gov. Jared Polis’s proposal to amend the state's method of calculating funding for Colorado school districts, reports the Delta County Independent.
  • The bridge closure on U.S. 50 between Montrose and Gunnison is affecting the delivery of beer and other beverages to the remote mountain town of Lake City. For KVNF, Laura Palmisano speaks to Tyler Crump, co-owner of Lake City Liquors about the impacts the bridge closure and restrictions on the cutoff are having on the store and the regional delivery of goods.
  • A new traffic signal at the Montrose Regional Airport is in the works, reports the Montrose Daily Press. The signal will help control traffic coming onto and off of North Townsend Avenue. Currently, travelers heading south from the airport have to turn left across four lanes of traffic on U.S. 50 heading into Montrose.
