Please join us to celebrate Anthony Buxton’s long life and his prolific body of work. A Paonia fixture, Anthony first moved to the valley in the 1970s after attending The San Francisco Art Institute. Although his local murals have been destroyed, a large scale painting still remains in the children’s section of the Hotchkiss Public Library. After the a retrospective, Anthony’s friends and family plan to gather in the park for BYO barbecue and games. Everyone is welcome.
Montrose Pride 2025 is hosting a community celebration on June 7th from 3-6 PM at the Montrose Rotary Amphitheater! This event will bring together LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and allies for an afternoon of joy, connection, and visibility. The Western Slope Conservation Center, Colorado Farm and Food Alliance, and The Learning Center are excited to welcome guests to the 23rd Annual Riverfest Community Fair and Float! The community fair on June 7th is free to attend and fun for the whole family!Live music by Mojo Birds, Jazzberry (formerly S.H.H.), and Hard Pressed! A Silent Auction with outdoor gear, goodies from local vendors, and experiences to share with those you love will support the Conservation Center. Educational opportunities for all ages include an interactive watershed simulator, a water quality lab, and kid’s games and prizes. Food and drinks will be for sale in the park along with other vendors too!June 8th join us on the river! Details to be released on our website soon!
