About
It’s rare for four musicians to experience a single, defining moment that changes everything—but that’s exactly what happened the night The Fretliners first gathered around one microphone in the Cloverlick banjo shop barn. The spark was immediate, electric—“clear as a lightning bolt in an open field.” From that moment on, they knew they were meant to make music together.
The Fretliners are a genuine and powerful Colorado-based bluegrass quartet known for their exceptional songwriting, tight harmonies, and undeniable chemistry. Their camaraderie fuels an energy on stage that’s as infectious as it is exhilarating. In the summer of 2023, that magic propelled them to a rare double win: they swept both the Telluride Bluegrass and RockyGrass band competitions—an achievement only accomplished once before. Their self-titled debut album, released later that year, garnered widespread acclaim for its originality, honesty, and heartfelt lyricism.
Rooted in the traditional “high lonesome” sound yet boldly carving new paths, The Fretliners navigate a road less traveled—melding tradition and innovation into something unmistakably their own. Their songs carry stories through powerful harmonies and dynamic arrangements, offering a sound that feels both timeless and refreshingly new.
Join us for a high-energy night of progressive bluegrass, with an open floor for dancing and seats available around the perimeter. This is a band best experienced live—don’t miss them.

About the Show
FRÄNDER plays modern acoustic folk music forged in the deep forests of the northern Europe. With seductive harmonies, heavy grooves and mesmerizing energy the band create a unique musical landscape filled with mystery and charm.
FRÄNDER blends Swedish and Estonian folk traditions with a modern twist, creating a contemporary “heavy folk” sound. The result is a driving, robust, utterly unique style. FRÄNDER conjures an expressive musical landscape, evocative of the mystery and beauty of the ancient Scandinavian woodlands; they have wowed audiences worldwide, from Scandinavia to Japan, Canada and the U.S. The band’s current tour lineup features founding siblings Gabbi Dluzewski (Swedish mandola and vocals) and Daniel Dluzewski (double bass and vocals), playing alongside Gabbi’s wife Säde Tatar (flute and vocals), the percussionist expert Andreas Berglund (specialized on Japanese classical marimba), and the stellar fiddler and family friend Gabriella Josefsson. On their most recent album, II, FRÄNDER continues to redefine the future of European music.
