  • Delta County Board of County Commissioners met Tuesday for its regular business meeting. Among the topics at the meeting was a letter from the county to the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. The letter drew concern from one environmental group located in the North Fork Valley. KVNF’s Lisa Young has more.

  • Today is election day for municipalities in our area including Delta and Montrose Counties. Polling places will be open until 7 pm tonight. Be sure and participate in our democracy and vote.
  • A delay in completion of its 2022 audit is costing the town of Paoina financially, including the loss of a $956,000 grant to be used toward water projects. The late audit is also holding up other state public funds to which the town is entitled, reports the Delta County Independent.
  • The U.S. Postal Service is considering investing in millions of dollars of upgrades at its Processing and Distribution Center in Grand Junction. However, they are also looking to move some of the facility’s processing operations to Denver. The proposed changes could result in job losses and possibly delay some mail delivery, reports the Grand Junction Sentinel.

  • Delta voters turned down retail marijuana while approving the need for a Charter Commission. In unofficial results released Tuesday night, retail marijuan failed by 42 votes. Voters approved a nine person Charter Commission by 50 votes.
