Magic Circle Players: Proof
March 13 –28

Proof, a play by David Auburn, centers on Catherine, a young woman who has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, Robert, a mathematician, who has recently passed away. As Catherine grapples with his death and the possibility of her own instability, she worries that she might inherit her father's mental illness, along with his mathematical genius.

This Pulitzer Prize-winning script explores themes of genius and mental instability, family dynamics, and the nature of love and trust. Directed by Scott Pollak, Assistant Director Dru Weaver.

The Cabin Fever Quilt Show, sponsored by S&B Quilters’ Guild, will be held Friday and Saturday, March 20 and 21, 2026, at Delta County Fairgrounds in Hotchkiss. There will be stunning displays of quilts and quilted items, vendors, boutique, demos, door prizes, raffle quilt, and Calico Café.

Vendors at the show include Quilt It Ya Ya from Aztec, NM; Cortez Quilt Co. from Cortez, CO; Carlotta Gibson with Aurifil thread; Garnet Mesa Enterprises; and a boutique of quilty items made by S&B Quilters’ Guild members.

Homemade goodies, soup, and thirst quenchers will be available for purchase at Calico Café.

The 2026 raffle quilt by S&B Quilters’ Guild will be on display, and tickets can be purchased for $5.00 each, with just 1,000 tickets being sold. The quilt, On Wander Lane, was designed by Nancy Halvorsen, and it measures 79”x96”. The winning ticket will be drawn on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 10 am, at Memorial Hall in Hotchkiss, CO. Winner need not be present to win.

S&B Quilters’ Guild membership is open to anyone who has an interest in quilts. Our purpose is to promote quilting and to expand and enhance our knowledge and enjoyment of quilting and quilting techniques in an atmosphere of sharing fellowship. The Cabin Fever Quilt Show is being held in Heritage Hall at Delta County Fairgrounds on Highway 92 in Hotchkiss, on Friday and Saturday, March 20 and 21, from 9 am-6 pm. Learn to knit a beautiful and cozy scarf in this six-week class series at Hotchkiss Library, taught by Susan Vaniman. All materials will be provided free of charge. Delta County Libraries is pleased to announce: The Wild Robot by Peter Brown will be the book and movie for Delta County Reads 2026! This will be our tenth year partnering with Paradise of Paonia and the Blue Sage Literary Committee to bring a family-friendly book and movie to Delta County for free.

Beginning in March, the libraries will have multiple copies of The Wild Robot available for checkout. Each book will have tickets for the free public screenings of The Wild Robot movie.
